yesterday I realized that there is nothing terrible, or even very annoying, happening in my life right now. I'm really fucking happy! that doesn't happen awfully often. potential vapidity of said thought be damned!

this is Boom. s/he purred and rubbed lasciviously against my bare leg as I was walking down 14th. I called the number on the tag and left a message that their very cute, friendly cat was just wandering next to a busy-ish street. no reply; I didn't expect one. I realize that my perspective is skewed and that I've had the onus of seeing the worst of the worst in terms of animal care and shitty outcomes, but still: cats have no fucking business roaming outside in a city. the hideout. this is a rather faulty photograph, filtered through "fill light" at 200% to better capture the sinister magic.
I fucking love infinity mirrors! the better to see one's weary face amplified by the thousands!
first hill. it's getting torn down soon.
last night's sunset. sailor's delight, baby.3rd & Pine.
Ballard: as always, how mundane! but then you notice the dented car on the sidewalk and the man carrying an awkward item and the Roger Dean sky.
